We aim to provide a wide range of classes to reflect our members needs. We appreciate constructive feedback and any assistance that can help us offer you great fitness options!

Group fitness classes are a fun and interactive way to get fit and healthy – a great workout for all ages and fitness levels, and to help you stay motivated.

We have a wide variety classes at the Kensington Community Recreation Centre including Les Mills Body Pump and Body Attack, Aqua Aerobics, Zumba, Box Fit and mixed circuit style training. We have both low and high impact activities to suit any age or fitness level.

We can assess your fitness level and find classes that will help you achieve the best results.  

 

Body Pump:

A pre-choreographed weights to music class using plates and barbells.  If you don't have time to do your own weights program, come down to experience this total body workout.

Body Attack
A high energy "no frills" class, with simple choreography, designed to dramatically increase fitness. It is great fun, challenging and motivating. Suitable for intermediate fitness level.

Zumba

An interval training class using fun choreography to keep your mind occupied as you master all the steps whilst the body works hard and improves your fitness.

Core Blast

For those beginners or with a base of fitness, keen to get really pushed!!! Toning and core strength session using lots of different movements and positions to target that all important core! (30 minute express class!)

Spin

Freestyle Cycle class on our fantastic Keiser Bikes. Interval training, endurance, cardio vascular and strenght - all rolled in to a 45 minute blast!

Box Fit
This class involves all facets of fitness with a boxing focus.  The class includes cardio, resistance, core strengthening for people targeting all ranges of fitness goals.

Half Hour Power
An express fitness session involving cardio, resistance and core exercises.  A full body work out in just 30 minutes.  It is suitable for a variety of fitness levels – from the beginner wanting to build a fitness base to those interested in toning and strength improvements.

Aqua Aerobics

Running, jogging and walking under water strengthens your quads, hamstrings, hips and gluteus muscles, along with increasing your cardio-respiratory fitness.  For all ages!

Pilates
A workout that focuses on the strengthening of the core of the body. developing a strong and stable torso whilst improving posture, flexibility and balance.

Yoga
Recharge, revitalise and relax with Yoga.  Allow muscle and joints to become stronger and learn how to strengthen your posture.  For all ages and abilities.

Pryme Movers Aqua
Specifically designed for individuals of all levels of ability and mobility, for patrons aged 50 and above.  “Aqua Movers” is a lower intensity water based exercise class
