Children from six months of age explore and become familiar with aquatic environments

Skill development and water safety knowledge begins at an early age.

In the infant program, an adult (parent or carer)  supports the child in the pool to assist the learning process and help build confidence.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Breath control and blowing bubbles
  • Floating, paddling and propulsion
  • Familiarity with water over the face and head
  • Water safety skills
